Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, and Dorset has caught the bug. New courts are opening every few months, so whether you're picking up a racket for the first time or looking for a new regular game, there's never been a better time to play locally. Here's our guide to where to play.
Wimborne
Padel People Wimborne is the newest club in the area, opening in October 2026 on the Woolsbridge Industrial Estate near Three Legged Cross. It's also right next door to our factory store, so you can pick up kit, grips or a new racket on the way to your game.
Poole
East Dorset Padel at East Dorset Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club on Salterns Road, Parkstone, has three outdoor floodlit courts that opened in 2024. Courts are pay and play, so you don't need to be a member.
David Lloyd Poole has padel courts within its health club, ideal if you're already a member and want to combine padel with the gym or pool.
Bournemouth and Christchurch
The West Hants Club on Roslin Road South, Bournemouth, offers padel alongside its well-known tennis facilities, with coaching for new and competitive players.
Advantage Padel Mudeford near Christchurch is one of the largest padel venues in the area, with indoor and outdoor courts.
PadelStars Bournemouth offers a smaller, friendly set-up for social games.
How to book
Most Dorset clubs take bookings through the Playtomic app, which also helps you find open matches with players at your level. Courts are usually booked in 60 or 90 minute slots for four players. Many clubs offer racket hire, beginner sessions and coaching if you're new.
Getting kitted out
Our factory store in Wimborne is Dorset's first dedicated padel store outside a club. Come in to try on court and off-court clothing in every size, get hands-on with our handmade Rolenn rackets, and stock up on grips, towels and accessories. We're open weekdays 10am to 4pm and weekends 11am to 3pm.
